Here to Stay

Hi!

I had a great week staying at my bf's place last week as a little break after my exams! I just got home last night so I'm spending today catching up on a lot of blog reading and shows. A big thank you to all who responded to my last post! I love hearing your thoughts and it really helped give me an idea as to what you like seeing on my blog  =)

I always find that when summer starts I am inspired to start new things or take up old ones again! I really want to make the most of my summer this year but also use the time to relax and take it easy as I still don't know what I'll be doing next year. So for the most part I'll be trying to balance productivity with having a lil r&r time (but isn't that what everyone is always after?). So this summer, I'm setting myself goals! Here are a few I hope to achieve:

  • Exercise more! I used to LOVE exercising, I always felt energetic and revitalized after a brisk walk or jog, and I really want to get back into that!
  • Catch up with shows. I'll admit I'm a bit of an asian drama addict! I was so busy lately that I left shows until last in the day/week and when you're tired subtitles can be a small bit off-putting, so my list has grown over the last few months. I'll be starting ToGetHer next! Any other drama addicts out there??
  • Learn some photography tips. I love looking at beautiful photos and although I don't have a DSLR or anything fancy I believe that shouldn't stop me from being able to take nice pictures.

I have one or two other things planned for summer such as working on my blog and spending more time with my bf who will be coming home for good next month (many of you know he has lived many hours away for over a year). Mostly I will just be enjoying summer and all it has to offer. I hope to have one other bigger thing happening within the coming month or so.. but that will be a surprise ;)

Hope you are having a great week!

Sounds like you've got some great goals! =) I am working on exercising more too.

@Shop N' Chomp It seems that a lot of people are! I think it's cuz it's the beginning of summer =) It's really motivating to hear that other people are doing it too! =)

Thanks for the lovely comments on my blog! I'm loving yours, gunna follow :)

Glad you liked my review of the slap, i always feel a bit wary of putting book reviews up because i don't think they are that popular but i love to read them on other blogs so i thought what the heck?!

I'm a drama addict too, but i prefer British shows really, i'm partial to a bit of Dexter though!

@Stacey You're welcome! =) Aw thank you! I did like it, I know what you mean though but I like hearing about what people think of books, especially if I'm thinking about one! It gives me a better idea of what to expect then =)

I started Dexter before, but never really got into it, I think it was over-hyped for me and I was a little disappointed! I usually love crime/detective fiction shows! =)

Stacey said...

Sorry you can't view my video, i think it's to do with the music i put on it, i'm gunna change it and then re-upload it so hopefully you'll be able to view it in a bit :)

Aww i suppose Dexter isn't for everyone but i love it, it's the only thing i've stuck with, normally i go off of things after a few seasons!

Maeve Rachel said...

@Stacey Let me know when it's up and I'll let you know if it's working =)

I might try it again! I think everyone was just telling me how amazing it was at the time and my expectations were too high when I actually watched it! XP

Stacey said...

I've reuploaded, not sure if it's made a difference, my friend can view it? So i'm not sure why you can't :(

It's nothing special anyway haha!

Maeve Rachel said...

@Stacey I'll check it out and let you know!

Stacey said...

Hey :)

So glad it worked for you :)

As for dry shampoo, i've only ever used the Batiste ones, so i can't really comment about the Toni & Guy one.

They do come out white but if you work them into the hair properly they do blend in quite well, with my hair the colour it is at the moment, the only thing i find is sometimes it can make my roots look a little greyish, but thats normally only if i have bad roots anyway!

I used to have really dark hair about a year ago and i still used Batiste on that, it just takes a little more effort to make sure it's all blended? (i can't think of a better word haha)in properly.

I've heard that the Tres semme one is quite good, i'm yet to try it out but when my Batiste runs out i'm gunna give it a go :)

@Stacey Maybe I'm just not doing it right so XP I'll have to keep trying! Thanks for letting me know! I might check out one of those two if this one keeps causing me hassle! Thanks =D

I watched 8 full seasons of One Tree Hill in under 6 months. What can I say, it was a long winter.
